Data Deletion

Last updated: September 12, 2026

This page explains how to delete the data BibleGate holds about you. BibleGate is developed by Rae Legacy LLC. For the full picture of what we collect and why, see our Privacy Policy.

What BibleGate stores

BibleGate does not require an account. There is no sign-up, no password, and no profile. Almost everything the app knows about you lives only on your device:

  • Your reading progress, streaks, earned minutes, notes, favorites, and study and journey progress
  • Your app-blocking selections and preferences

A small amount of data is stored on our servers, and it is linked to a random device identifier rather than to your name or email:

  • Prayer requests you post to the Prayer Board, and prayers you tap
  • Your monthly giving vote, if you are a Pro subscriber and cast one

Deleting data stored on your device

Delete the BibleGate app from your iPhone. This permanently removes all locally stored data, including your reading progress, streaks, earned minutes, notes, favorites, and preferences. This cannot be undone, and the data cannot be recovered by reinstalling.

Deleting prayer requests you posted

Open the Community tab, find your own request on the Prayer Board, and use the menu on that request to delete it. Deleting the app does not remove requests you have already posted, so do this first if you want them gone.

Requesting deletion by email

To have everything we hold on our servers removed, email support@raelegacy.app with the subject line “Data Deletion Request”. We will confirm and complete the deletion within 30 days.

Because BibleGate has no account system, we cannot look you up by name or email. Tell us which prayer requests are yours, or send the request from the device in question and describe what you posted, so we can identify the right records.

Advertising and analytics data

If you allowed tracking when the app asked, BibleGate shares an advertising identifier with Meta and TikTok so we can measure which ads bring people to the app. You can withdraw that permission at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, which stops any further sharing.

To have advertising and analytics data already collected deleted, email us at the address above and we will submit the deletion request to Meta, TikTok, PostHog, and RevenueCat on your behalf. You can also request deletion directly from Meta through the settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.

Subscriptions

Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple. Deleting your BibleGate data does not cancel a subscription. Manage or cancel it in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple retains its own billing records under Apple's Privacy Policy.
